The main living room has turned out to be one of our favorite spaces in the house. It has wonderful natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows and the mass of the stairwell that protrudes into the space provides a great architectural detail. The massive black ebony cabinet also makes for wonderful eye candy as you enter the space. All of that is balanced by some nice quiet design moments that happen in conjunction with the architecture. The curtains are a fantastically simple linen created by Katherine D Interiors of Dallas. Lots and lots of kudos to Katherine and her team. They were amazing to work with and incredibly skilled at what they do.

I love the feel of this room…and am coveting your stools. May I ask where you got them?
Thank you. The stools are from DWR, but one of my new finds is Wisteria, they import a lot of French antique pieces and from time to time have some great vintage stuff that works really well with clean modern design. http://www.wisteria.com/ Enjoy.
Great feeling of warmth in this modern home.
I love the use of the stools as well, adds a lot of character.
I am looking at the same sofa from Room and Board. Are they comfortable? Also is that the ebony, or dark grey?
